DaVinci Wall Coverings — Service
Texture Paint
Beyond colour. A wall finish with physical depth, tactile character, and the ability to transform any surface — from subtle refinement to bold artistic statement.
Texture paint is what happens when a wall stops being a background and becomes part of the design. Unlike standard paint — which applies colour to a surface — texture paint applies colour and physical dimension simultaneously. The result is a finish that catches light differently throughout the day, conceals imperfections that flat paint would expose, and gives every room a quality that is immediately felt, even if the viewer cannot immediately explain why.
It achieves this through a carefully formulated base — typically containing natural aggregates like sand, marble dust, or stone particles — combined with a skilled application technique. The texture is not printed or pressed; it is crafted on the wall itself, making every installation genuinely unique to the space.
Four reasons texture paint outperforms flat paint
Physical depth
Creates a three-dimensional surface that changes appearance as light moves — flat paint cannot replicate this.
Hides imperfections
Cracks, uneven plaster, and surface blemishes disappear beneath the texture — no costly prep work needed.
Longer lifespan
Thicker application grips the wall more firmly — resistant to chipping, peeling, and surface wear for years.
Limitless expression
From raw concrete to polished venetian plaster — every finish is a custom creation, not a catalogue choice.
Texture finishes we offer
Each finish is applied by hand using specialist tools and techniques. The result depends on both the material formulation and the skill of the applicator — DaVinci's team is trained in all of the following.
Sand Texture
Fine sand particles create a warm, gritty surface with an earthy, tactile quality. Excellent for rustic, Mediterranean, or natural interiors — and highly effective at concealing uneven walls.
Venetian Plaster
Applied in multiple thin layers and burnished to a smooth, luminous finish that resembles polished marble or natural stone. The most refined and luxurious texture finish available.
Knockdown
Joint compound is applied and partially flattened to create irregular, organic plateaus — a sophisticated stucco-like appearance with depth and subtle variation across the surface.
Microcement
An ultra-thin, seamless coating that delivers the industrial elegance of bare concrete — without the weight or structural requirements. Ideal for feature walls, bathrooms, and commercial spaces.
Comb Texture
A notched tool draws clean lines, waves, or geometric patterns directly into the compound. Highly customisable — the depth, spacing, and direction of lines are all variable to order.
Metallic Texture
Reflective metallic pigments within a textured base create a surface that shifts in tone and brightness with the light — striking in entrance halls, dining rooms, and feature walls.
Texture paint vs. regular paint
Regular paint
Flat, two-dimensional surface
Highlights every crack and imperfection
Chips and peels in high-traffic areas
Requires repainting every 3–5 years
Limited to colour — no tactile quality
No acoustic benefit
Texture paint
Three-dimensional depth — changes with light
Conceals cracks, dents, and uneven plaster
Thicker application resists damage and wear
Lasts 8–10+ years with minimal maintenance
Adds colour, dimension, and tactile interest
Reduces echo and improves room acoustics
Practical benefits
Works in every type of space
How DaVinci delivers it
The difference between a textured wall and a flat painted wall is the difference between a room that has been finished and a room that has been designed. Texture is what makes a space feel considered — like every surface was chosen with intention rather than applied by default. It is the detail that clients notice first when they walk in, and the quality they remember long after everything else fades into the background.
Suitable for feature walls, full-room applications, commercial fit-outs, and any space where a standard painted finish is not enough. DaVinci handles material selection, surface preparation, and hand application in full — no coordination with separate painters or contractors required.
